Meet the mentors:
Adriana Homolova
Hi! I’m Ada, a freelance data journalist with over 10 years of experience in investigative journalism, data analysis, and teaching. As a mentor with IJ4EU since 2022, I have supported dozens of journalists on issues related to data collection, analysis, and visualization. I can provide assistance with all facets of data-driven research, programming in Python and the application of large language models in journalism.
Alexandre Brutelle
I am Alex Brutelle, Partnership Engagement Specialist & Reporter at The Examination, a global newsroom investigating health beats. I’m also co-founder of the Environmental Investigative Forum (EIF), a global consortium of environmental investigative journalists. You can consult me on extractivism and fossil fuel, geo-data analysis and remote sensing for environmental investigations and international collaborations.
Martina Merten
I am Martina Merten, global health specialist with more than 20 years of reporting experience from various, mainly Asian Low- and Middle Income countries (www.martina-merten.com). While deep investigations are still my passion, I am also working as a Scientist at the Center for Global Health at Charité Medical University, Berlin, and as a health consultant for German and International organizations. You can consult me on various public and global health topics – may it be on burden of disease in LMICs or pandemic preparedness, climate change and health, ageing populations or any health policy related topic which comes to your mind.
