The response to the IJ4EU Impact Award 2026 has been exceptional. We received a record-breaking 88 cross-border investigative journalism projects from newsrooms and reporting teams across and beyond Europe.
The submissions reflect the strength, diversity and collaborative spirit of investigative journalism across borders, with teams tackling issues of major public interest through ambitious and impactful reporting.
Winners of the IJ4EU Impact Award 2026 will be announced during IJ4EU UNCOVERED 2026, taking place on 17–18 September 2026 in Budapest.
