Doğu Eroğlu has been working as a reporter since 2011. His areas of specialization include environmental affairs—such as climate change, environmental justice, and the fossil fuel and mining industries—and conflict reporting, with a focus on radicalization and the networks of ISIS and al-Qaeda. He is an alumnus and research fellow of the Alliance for Historical Dialogue and Accountability (AHDA) Program at the Institute for the Study of Human Rights, Columbia University in New York.
Eroğlu’s first book, Islamic State Networks (IŞİD Ağları, in Turkish), was published in 2018. In addition to his independent research and video production work (see his most recent collaborations here), he also designs and implements journalism trainings on investigative journalism, conflict reporting, environmental justice, and climate journalism.
He is the founder of Ortak – Independent Newsroom for Investigative Journalists, based in Istanbul, Turkey.
