Jelena Prtorić is a freelance journalist whose work focuses on the environment, agriculture, pollution and water, through an investigative and (mostly) cross-border lens. She works with Arena for journalism in Europe as the director of Dataharvest – the European Investigative Journalism conference, and translates graphic novels.
At UNCOVERED 2026, she will be providing custom support for journalists who want to know how to kick off their cross-border investigation, how to find colleagues to pursue the story and organise their working process and research, where to look for environmental stories in the EU and who’d appreciate assistance with their grant application and grant budget drafting.
