Deniz is the Events and Outreach Manager at the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom, where she has organised the annual UNCOVERED Conference and the IJ4EU Impact Award since 2022. Each spring, she teaches a seminar on impact in cross-border journalism at Leipzig University. She previously worked as a research associate at several interdisciplinary institutions in Leipzig and holds a doctorate in American Studies from Leipzig University.
